Step 1
Starting with a movie playing in both the left and right movie player:

Step 2
Select a transition mode (for the overlapping section) and set the mixer position to 0.5. We used the max-fade transition here.

Step 3
Add a rotate FX to each FX chain (A, mix, and B). Turn wrap-x on for FX-Bus A and wrap-y for FX-Bus B (or vice-versa). Zoom out on Bus A and Bus B until there are 3-5 repeats of each video stream. Set the FX-Mix rotate angle to 45 degrees and turn both x and y wrapping on to have the legs extend indefinitely.

Ideas for variations
- Instead of rotating, adjust the zoom and x/y center sliders on the final rotate FX to create a video box
- Use another rotate to either the A or B FX to pre-rotate one of the video streams so the legs of the X are the same thickness.
- Create a single channel version that creates an X shape from a single stream.
