Will GridPro work with my MIDI hardware?
- Yes, it will.
[edit]
What if it's an <insert name of your MIDI controller here>?
- Yes, it will still work with GridPro. MIDI is a protocol (think "computer dialect"); GridPro speaks MIDI. It works with any MIDI hardware.

How do I use my MIDI hardware with GridPro?
- First of all, please understand that this question is really vague; there's a wide variety of MIDI hardware, and there's a whole lot of things you can control with MIDI hardware in GridPro. Generally speaking, you should install any relevant drivers for your particular device (if applicable; check the manufacturer's web site) and plug it into your computer before launching GridPro. Noteon/noteoff messages sent by MIDI keyboards (and some foot pedals) are most commonly used for triggering clips, but they can also be used to set the value of sliders. Other knobs, sliders, or other devices on your MIDI hardware are most commonly used to set slider values by synchronizing the slider onscreen to the knob/slider/whatever.
- GridPro also has a modular architecture for adding new actions that can be triggered with MIDI hardware (and/or a computer keyboard). These actions are referred to as Event Shortcuts, and if you can't find a shortcut that lets you use your hardware in exactly the way you want, just drop us a line at our forums, and we'd be more than happy to make one for you.
