Audio device/output assign

I noticed you have listed that we can now assign audio outputs per layer and in the sources list.

I cannot for the life of me find where to do this. there is no dropdown or menu button in layers or in the sources. can anyone enlighten me?

you know, i thought I was an idiot too, but after some hunting i found them. dare i say they're a little badly labeled / laid out

it's in your layer source panel, underneath the 'mute' button

my question is, whats it for?

i tend to use audio in Live, routing into vdmx for analysis

is this for a workflow more where say, your video clips have audio embedded in them? and you are routing that out for some purpose?

yes indeed. audio is embedded into the QuickTime movies.

I found the layer settings they where bottom left of the layer controls. they are poorly labeled and small but very useful none the less.
