freeframe GL, how to?

Postby slof » Thu Mar 08, 2012 8:45 am

i'm interested in freeframe GL fx but not sure how to install and to use them. I located the Freeframe folder in Library/Graphics and dropped a freeframe.bundle file in that folder. When i apply the freeframe fx to any layer the layer's output turn white. Normal freeframe fx work but the GL one don't.

FFGL fx's are marked red in VDMX and not usable. What's wrong?

the FFGLDelayRGB.bundle i picked up somewhere from the internet was defective. I've downloaded Resolume Avenue 4 demo found a whole bunch of FFGL-fx's that actually work in VDMX as well.

Can you not use the quartz effect instead?

Bangnoise does a RGB shift qcfx http://kriss.cx/tom/2009/05/rgb-shift/

I have a RGB delay plug in in my qcfx folder. No idea where i got it from though.

sure i could use the QC fx but i just was checking out FFGL and that RGBdelay was the first one i found but it did not work. Not a big deal. I just thought that i installed it the wrong way. Turns out that i did it right but the fx was defective. FFGL fx from Resolume AV4 work great too now!

~/library/Graphics/FreeFrame Plug-Ins

If the folder is not already there create one.

Hey listenpreis,

Are you putting the plugins in your user Library directory, or in the Library at the top-level of your boot drive?

Either should work, could you email me (lublin@vidvox.net) a screenshot of a Finder window in column view that shows the whole directory structure of where things are located, it could just be something stupid like the wrong name of a thing.

If anyone's using my RGB Shift linked above, it's kind of slow, write yourself a GLSL shader
