Are you sure you installed the Quartz Plugins AND the vdmx qcFX? Did you read the readme?

ok. now I understand how it works.
I've read the readme obviously a bit improper. Sorry for that...
unfortunately there is still the black mask issue in vdmx with the RE plugin.
Anyway many thanks for your contributions, vade!

Ok, here is a test 1.1 build which has an extra boolean input to enable line antialiasing.

It defaults to off, which will, in my tests, makes the rutt/etra work on the 7300. Ill see if I can figure out if this is work/around able.

http://002.vade.info/downloads/v002Rutt ... plugin.zip

Can those with a 7300 who have had issues try this out for me?

Those who have a working version, this is really no different besides the antialiasing option, and you would have to edit the QC patch I provided in the initial release to enable the line antialiasing (set the input to true/checked) to make it look like what you are used to.

Thanks. Those who have issues, let me know if this solves it!

I've downloaded and installed the latest plug-in and I'm still have the same problem. When I add the filter to a layer it puts a black mask on the layer.

Everyone I have seen who has this issue simply is not installing the plugin correctly.

You need to install BOTH the v002RuttEtra.plugin to /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-ins/ AND the VDMX qcFX to whatever qcFX location you want, either in the app folder or in Application Support.

Once folks have done this, theyve had it working, except for the 7300 users.

If youve followed those steps, and its still not working, there may be another issue going on. What GPU is on that iMac ?

Oh for fucks sake. I put that info in the webpage, but not in the fucking readme. That is 100% my fault. Goddamn it. Yeah, I use my blur because it makes the vertex smoothing that much more convincing, and I totally blanked on it.

Try that! Thanks newVJ, I spaced on that! Ha!

Finally Running here as well. I had to move the plug to a different folder, then it FINALLY worked.

I tried the following and got an error:

I had three layers, layer 2 + 3 as video taps from 1, both layers with the rutt etra fx with different setting - made vdmx crash tho

What folder were you putting it in before, when it didnt work, and what folder did you put it in to make it work?

If you set the vertex count very high, you may run out of vram perhaps? Ill have to look into that.
