Thanks for the report. Im able to re-create. I think I also found the cause of the problem. We'll try and roll out a fix soon. Sorry about that :)

We don't generally get them, so if you could send crash logs to contact@v002.info as well then we can take a look.

Thanks

pike, we've received three crash logs from you, all within the past couple days (oct. 20/21). all of these crashes were caused by the apple motion codec crashing. typically, this sort of thing is either the result of a bug in the codec or corrupt data (either there's a problem with your clip, or your drive got momentarily unplugged/powered off/otherwise disconnected). it doesn't look like the v002 plugins were directly responsible for any of these crashes.

if you're going to send the crash logs elsewhere, please make sure you leave the originals in place so vdmx can send them to us as well.

Which plugins in particular are you having problems with, and what do you mean by "do not work"?

it looks like this wasn't an issue after all: the crashes were occurring because very old versions of the plugins were being used. vade & tom's plugins work just as well in b8 as they did in b7, and look like they're every bit as fast and awesome as they've always been!

Indeed, I've been using them with Beta 8 for some time, with no issues. Make sure that you use the latest, and one thing to note about the FBO Glitch plugins, is that you can request rendering formats that your GPU may or may not like, which *will* throw harmless errors, but might not render anything and can cause some slowdowns. Not all GPUs like the same combinations of input formats to destination formats (I am doing somewhat strange things with regards to the how I am treating the 'input image' format, and lying to it, into telling its something its not), so if I were to make the plugin "safe" so it would not throw those errors, it would mean I could only use correct formats, rendering the plugin.. kind of pointless.

So, what I would suggest, is take a look at each format one at a time, and see if it renders or throws errors. Make a list of what works for you (and this, again, will be hardware (GPU) and driver (OS Version) dependent, so I cant really do it for you). Once you have this list, make your own published input menu or whatever that selects the looks you like and that work.

The plugin is very fast (thats always something on my mind and strive for high framerate), so if you see issues with speed (especially versus the running in B7), please let Tom and I know. Not saying there is not an issue, just that I've not seen, or heard about it. Also; http://forums.v002.info is a great place for specific v002 plugin Q&A.

Thanks.
