Making the best of a 13" Macbook Pro

Postby yondervittles » Thu Jul 26, 2012 10:52 am

I am running VDMX b8.0.7.3 on my newish (purchased 2/2012) Macbook Pro (8gb memory / 2.8ghz Intel processor / 120 solid state hd / Intel HD graphics 3000 512 mb graphics card) and am prompted with GPU warnings at startup. Anyone have workflow suggestions for optimizing the performance of VDMX with my current machine. Thanks a bunch!

What external drive are you using for your video files? And what is it's connection (Firewire? eSATA, etc)? My Mid 2009 Mac book pro with lower specs performs great with an Intel 320 12GB SSD drive, and a Firewire 800 1TB RAID 0 setup. It runs even better when I replace the optical drive (CD Drive) and put two 120GB SSD drives in and RAID 0 them together ( not recommended, without doing SSD & Mac compatibility research first ).
